Ostrich Box is a Birmingham-based experimental electronic music collective formed in 2011. Since then, Ostrich box artists have played sets in art galleries, festivals, cathedrals, car parks and basements all in the name of pushing experimental electronic music to new places. This performance will feature the collective’s founder, Luke Deane. Luke divides his time between composing new music, playing contemporary piano and researching ancient musical traditions from around the world. He has written for concerts, galleries, films, installations, dance and theatre and this year released his first full experimental electronics album The Map. Luke studies composition at Birmingham Conservatoire with Howard Skempton, Joe Cutler, Michael Wolters and Ed Bennett.
