Malcolm Wilson

Malcolm Wilson made his solo debut at the Wigmore Hall in 1977. He has been a principal pianist with BCMG virtually since its inception. His performing career embraces chamber music, accompaniment, improvisation and two piano repertoire as well as a big contribution to music education – he was for more than 25 years Head of the Piano Department of Birmingham Conservatoire, and continues to teach there. Recent recordings have included two piano versions (together with Philip Martin) of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances.
